We are most honoured to have Wai Han to share on Preparing for a Gentle Birth - a topic which will interest all expectant moms - first timers or moms who had unpleasant birth experience.

Wai Han is a certified HypnoBirthing® Childbirth Educator, accredited and affliated with the HypnoBirthing Institute. She received her training from the founder, Marie Mongan, and is among the first batch of certified practitioners in Malaysia and Asia.

She has started embracing and sharing HypnoBirthing since 2003, after the empowering hypnobirth of her first child -- long before there was any practitioner here in Malaysia. Following her training and accreditation in 2005, she passionately brings HypnoBirthing formally into Malaysia. As an experienced HypnoBirthing Childbirth Educator, she has helped many couples dispel their fears and birth their babies gently, peacefully and joyfully into the world.

Wai Han is also a proud HypnoBirthing mother of two. Both her births had been natural, gentle and peaceful, totally free of drugs and discomfort. Her first amazing painless drug-free HypnoBirthing experience led her to her career. With another miraculous HypnoBirthing experience of labouring and receiving her baby lovingly by herself at home, she is even more convicted in helping all mothers to develop the art and joy of rediscovering their natural birthing instinct.

Event: May 23: Breastfeeding Talk - Travelling, Pumping, Storing & Transporting

We are most honoured to have Ooh Fei Ru to share on her very precious experience of travelling, pumping, storing and actually transporting the milk back from overseas to Malaysia. Fei Ru is an ex-breastfeeding mom of 2. A frequent business traveler, being away around 30% of the time, but managed to continue breastfeeding without introducing any formula milk until children were over 14-18 months old. Children were exclusively breastfed for 6 months and subsequently with solid until they nearly self-weaned.

Fei Ru will share on how she did it, which she will also bring along her gears like luggage bag, cooler box, ice packs, etc... to demo.

This session will benefit moms who wish to know more about:

1) How to maintain milk supply while being away from your baby?
2) How to time your pumping schedule?
3) How to store your milk correctly?
4) How to transport your milk safely, especially if it's a long journey, i.e. from overseas, etc...
5) Will there be any challenges await you when you come home to be with your baby?
6) Any tips to share with the carer of your baby when you are away?

We are sure that this session will benefit a lot of mothers, as it comes from a true experience from a loving mom.

Event: May 30: Babysigns(R) Parent Workshop

Fabulous Mom and Baby Signs Malaysia are co-conducting a Parent Workshop. A one-time 2-hour instructional event designed to introduce parents (and parents to be) who would like to communicate with the baby in their life before they can talk, to the Baby Signs® Program of infant communication. It is geared for adults looking to teach signs to babies aged 0 to 2 ½ years or toddlers who have communication delays. In this Workshop, you will be taught everything you need to know to get started with the Baby Signs® Program.

Each participant will receive a Parent Kit or Complete Starter Kit, which costs RM180. The Parent Workshop fee is RM250 per participant (inclusive of Kit). For every additional participant (e.g. if your husband would like to attend with you), the additional cost is RM50. Every participant/couple will also receive RM50 Fabulous Mom cash voucher, which you can use to offset any of your purchases made in Fabulous Mom online store or showrooms.

Fabulous Mom and Mama Patch are most honoured to co-organise a baby wearing workshop. The workshop is scheduled on the May 16, Saturday, at 11am, in The Breastfeeding Cafe, Fabulous Mom showrom. Address and location map as below:

Goh Chin Nee, a mom of 3, who is also the founder of Mama Patch will be conducting the workshop. Chin Nee will be sharing on the benefits of baby wearing. She will demo on how to use a sarong baby sling. Practical and Q&A sessions shall follow after the demo. Participants are welcome to try the slings with professional guidance. :-) If you had any slings (any brands) at home, which had been kept in the drawer, as you were not sure how to use, you may then bring yours and we will offer you a free tutorial! :-)

The workshop is free of charge, however pre-registration is required (strongly encouraged). Walk-ins will be entertained, but subject to seats availability as usual.
